Aboriginal Day of Action in Toronto

Please help to forward this announcement.

* * * * NATIONAL ABORIGINAL AWARENESS DAY * * * *

Last June, Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Peoples from coast to coast to coast came together to rally in support of Aboriginal issues. Since then, not enough has been done, and the government has again shown themselves unwilling to take Aboriginal problems seriously, so we are again rallying on MAY 29, 2008 to show our discontent with federal treatment of Aboriginal Peoples.

Meet at Queens Park at Noon, then join in the rally down University, across Front to Queens Quay and Bathurst were the rally will end at Little Norway Park. The rally will be joined by people at the Canadian Labour Congress Convention at about 1pm as the rally passes the Convention Centre.

We will be leaving Queen's Park on Thursday May 29th at 12:00 pm. We are going to walk down University Ave to Front St, across Front St to Bathurst St. and down into Little Norway Park.

Thanks for setting up the blog. It made remembering where I was supposed to be, or would like to have been, much easier!
